Apple Walnut Cake


    The Cake:
  • 1 Red, Medium, Unpared Apple, Sliced into Thin Wedges (¼")
  • 1 Red, Medium, Unpared Apple, chopped
  • 2/3 Cup Sugar
  • ½ Cup Buttermilk
  • 1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Egg
  • 1-¼ Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • ½ Teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ½ Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • ¼n


In a 9\" cake pan. Beat together the sugar, butter, milk, oil, and egg well. Stir in remaining ingredients, except the walnut topping. Spread batter evenly into pan. Bake 45 minutes or until cake is done. Immediately invert onto serving plate. Sprinkle with walnut topping.
