Pasta Alfredo

  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
  • 2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • teaspoon salt
  • 12 oz. linguine

This recipe is from A Taste of Home magazine. I cooked lb. cubed salmon in the melted margarine before adding the cream to make Salmon Alfredo. Melt margarine in medium saucepan. Stir in whipping cream. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Allow sauce to simmer until thick. In the meantime, cook linguine according to directions and drain when noodles are cooked. After sauce has thicken a bit, stir in the Parmesan cheese. Serve sauce over linguine.
